After months of delays, inspections, setbacks, and more than a few moments where the finish line felt like it kept moving, we officially passed our final inspection and received our business license to begin operating
Frame Fiesta Eyeglasses.
A huge thank you to our partners at Luxottica, especially the team that has been incredibly engaged from the beginning, making sure we were prepared to launch. It reminded me why those brands have dominated this industry for so long. It's not just the products—it's the people behind them.
Let's talk about delays for a minute.

The best way I can explain opening a brick-and-mortar business is this: You know what you know, and you don't know what you don't know.
Coming from the e-commerce world, I underestimated just how many moving parts exist before you can ever unlock the front door. Contractor schedules slip. Plans change because of problems you never saw coming. Inspections uncover new requirements. Every detail has to meet county standards. Timelines move. Costs move.
Your options, two choices: bow to the pressure or keep moving forward.
And all of that happens before a single customer walks through your doors.
Disrupt... or Die Trying.
Our mission isn't simply to open another optical store.
Our mission is to deliver a customer experience the optical industry has never seen.
We're connecting the convenience of online shopping with the confidence and service of an in-store experience. We're removing unnecessary friction and asking simple questions that this industry hasn't challenged in decades.
For example...
Why do most people have to make a second trip just to pick up their glasses?
Why not come in once for your eye exam and purchase, have your glasses delivered to your home, and only return if you actually need an adjustment?
Every decision we're making is centered around one thing:
Customer convenience. Whether you shop online or walk through our front door.
This week is all about training and our soft opening.
And after three months of constantly thinking about permits, inspections, contractors, deadlines, and everything in between...
I finally slept through the night.
Best sleep I've had in three months.
Now the real work begins.
